Camp Crucis has evolved over the decades. Gone are the old frame buildings (many inherited from its years as Camp Crockett) that were such a memorable part of Crucis in its early years. These have been replaced by modern structures, now with windows and air conditioning.

Part of the Episcopal Diocese of Fort Worth since its creation in 1983, Camp Crucis today has year-round facilities offering a variety of opportunities for people to share glorious experiences.

On Tuesday, June 26th, 2011, Stroud's Creek rose to 4 feet deep in two boys' cabins, and a few inches deep in several girls' cabins due to a major flood. A major clean-up and restoration was done to the buildings affected.
